Job summary
Sterling Engineering is seeking an Automation Field Service Technician to install, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic and automated manufacturing systems. This remote-based role requires residence in Kansas and frequent travel to support customer installations.
You will read blueprints and schematics, collaborate with engineering teams, and ensure equipment runs efficiently. A technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience is required, with welding experience being a plus, and
Qualifications
- Technical degree, trade certification, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience with industrial automation, manufacturing equipment, fabrication, machine shop, or mechanical/electrical systems.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and desire to learn new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Install, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic and automated manufacturing systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs onsite at customer facilities.
- Read blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance.
- Ensure customer equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
