Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking an Auto Robot Welding Lead for our Valley facility. The role partners with the Production Supervisor to run robotic welding, train staff, and fill in where needed in the Welding Shop.

The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, safety focus, and a drive for continuous improvement. The position reports to the Production Supervisor and requires strong communication, blueprint reading, and problem-solving skills to ensure quality and on-time production.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required; 11+ years relevant experience preferred.
Ability to pass forklift and crane operator tests.
Welder C status or higher; proficient with shop mathematics and blueprint reading.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) and QA/documentation.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing and leadership roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate and program robotic welding equipment.
Supervise production line; lead and coach team on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Assist in set-ups, changeovers and line maintenance.
Monitor line performance and maintain clean, organized workspace.
Participate in RCA and continuous improvement initiatives.
