Job summary

The Moto Operator at Valmont Industries welds bases and steel tube components in a dedicated Moto Cell. You will load shafts, operate MIG welding equipment, and ensure weld quality meets AWS standards.

Positions require passing AWS qualification, reading blueprints, and performing precise material calculations. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be forklift-certified within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Pass AWS welder operator qualification test for GMAW processes.
• Knowledge of basic programming and set up of PLC controlled machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform mathematical calculations in preparing product.

Responsibilities

• Operate Moto Cell to weld bases and components of steel square tubes.
• Load steel shafts via conveyor and weld to spec; monitor quality of shafts.
• Weld in flat and horizontal positions; use MIG welding and related equipment.
