Job summary

Valmont Industries in Valley, NE is seeking a Moto Operator/Welder for the Moto Cell to weld bases and components of steel square tubes. You will load steel shafts via conveyor, perform GMAW welding, read blueprints, and verify material quality while following safety and Lean practices.

The role requires AWS MIG welding certification, the ability to read drawings, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Forklift certification within 90 days and overtime availability are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years welding experience.
• Read blueprints and use tape measure.
• Must pass welder level 3 assessment.
• Able to weld in flat and horizontal positions.
• Forklift certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate Moto Cell to weld bases and components of steel square tubes.
• Load steel shafts via conveyor into the machine and weld assemblies.
• Weld using GMAW (MIG) welding and monitor quality of material.
• Read and interpret blueprints and tolerances; perform basic measurements.
• Demonstrate safety, participate in LEAN activities, and maintain equipment.
