Job summary

Tenneco Inc. in Glasgow, KY seeks an Hourly-Block Precision Technician on the 2nd shift to operate and set up friction manufacturing equipment, including the IAG Press and robotic bagger. This role focuses on quality, safety, and efficient production in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow 5S standards, perform preventative maintenance, document production data, and collaborate with team members to meet daily goals while upholding the company values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years manufacturing experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Drug, background, and physical demands tests must be passed.
• Solid reading, writing and mathematics skills including decimals & fractions.
• Ability to follow written & oral instructions.
• Ability to work with a high level of precision.
• Ability to read and interpret precise measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate friction manufacturing equipment per standard work.
• Inspect product for quality; record scrap data and notify leadership.
• Enter all data required for job tickets and production logs.
• Maintain and utilize the set 5S Standards and machine condition.
• Perform preventative maintenance and autonomous maintenance as required.
• Meet daily production targets and adjust pace to deadlines.
• Adhere to the company's values and perform any other duties as assigned.
