Job summary

Tenneco Inc. is seeking an Hourly Block Production Technician for the 2nd shift to set up and run friction manufacturing equipment. The role includes handling multiple stations such as cure presses, baggers, and inspectors while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will follow standard work, document production data, and participate in 5S, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement activities to drive efficient, defect-free output.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret precise measuring instruments.
• Successful completion of basic skills test and pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety rules with PPE daily.
• Inspect product quality, investigate issues, and record scrap data.
• Operate equipment per standard work and enter data into tickets and logs.
• Maintain 5S standards and machine condition.
• Perform preventative maintenance and autonomous maintenance as required.
• Produce required quantity daily and adjust pace to meet deadlines.
• Adhere to company values and perform other assigned tasks.
