Job summary

TSMG is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Operations Lead to oversee daily operations for autonomous vehicle and robotaxi fleets, ensuring safety, readiness, and deployment across North America. You will manage Safety Operators, Depot Specialists, Senior Technicians, and SDS Specialists, coordinating with engineering, product, and fleet teams to meet KPIs and drive growth.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in fleet operations, automotive operations, transportation, logistics, mobility services, or similar environments.
Experience leading operational or technical teams.
Experience managing shift-based or 24/7 operations.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent organisation and planning abilities.
Experience monitoring KPIs and operational performance.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent English.

Responsibilities

Lead daily operations of autonomous vehicle and robotaxi fleets across depot locations.
Ensure vehicles are ready for testing, deployment, and autonomous ride-hailing services.
Monitor fleet utilization, availability, charging schedules, and readiness.
Coordinate daily vehicle dispatch and return activities to maximize efficiency.
Minimize downtime through effective planning and coordination.
Oversee depot activities ensuring safety, efficiency, and organization.
Coordinate work of Depot Specialists, Safety Operators, Senior Technicians, and SDS Specialists.
Ensure vehicles meet cleanliness, charging, inspection, and maintenance standards.
Support depot setup and readiness for new city launches.
Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise operational staff.
Create shift schedules for 24/7 fleet operations.
Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions.
Promote safety and continuous improvement culture.
Ensure compliance with procedures and safety standards.
Act as primary operational contact for stakeholders.
Coordinate with engineering, product, and fleet management teams.
Prepare operational reports and KPI dashboards.
Escalate risks and develop mitigation plans.
Support customer visits, audits, and reviews.
Monitor KPIs like fleet availability, uptime, dispatch efficiency, and depot productivity.
Identify improvement opportunities to reduce downtime and improve fleet performance.
Develop and implement SOPs for autonomous vehicle operations.
Support scaling of robotaxi fleets and deployment.
