Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health seeks a House Physician - Surgery to perform surgical assists with a robot, conduct rounds, and deliver comprehensive patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Candidates must hold a NY license, have USMLE or equivalent, and have completed an ACGME/AOA residency. Join PAGNY and contribute to our large public health system in Brooklyn.

Qualifications

• Current valid New York State medical license (Limited or Unrestricted).
• Graduation from an accredited medical school in the United States or an international medical school with successful USMLE performance.
• Participation in at least one year of ACGME or AO A residency program.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for surgical assist in the Operating Room with a robotic system.
• Perform inpatient rounds and document progress notes.
• Provide outpatient clinical care including examinations and ordering/interpreting routine tests.
• Inform supervising physician of changes in patient condition and test results.
• Counsel patients regarding physical and mental health; develop management plans with attending physician.
