Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant – Surgery to the team at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health on the new Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital campus. The role centers on outpatient clinical care, patient examination, and supervising physician communication.

The PA will assist in the Operating Room with robotic systems, perform inpatient rounds, and document progress notes while collaborating with the attending physician to develop patient management

Qualifications

• Provide clinical care in an outpatient setting, including patient examination and interpretation of routine diagnostic tests.
• Inform the supervising physician of all changes in the patient\'s condition and pertinent diagnostic results.
• Surgical assist in the Operating Room with a surgical robot – perform inpatient rounds, collect data and write pertinent progress notes on charts.
• Counsel patients regarding physical and mental health.
• Develop patient management plans in accordance with established protocols in conjunction with the attending physician.
