Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a Robotic/General Surgery Physician Assistant to join a multidisciplinary surgical team. You will assist in robotic procedures, round with surgeons, document progress, and manage orders while supporting comprehensive patient care throughout admission and recovery.

The role requires at least 1 year of robotic surgery experience, NY PA licensure, NCCPA certification, and active ACLS/BLS.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in robotic surgery.
• Current New York State PA licensure.
• NCCPA certification.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• DEA registration with NYS Opioid Prescriber Training compliance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• NYS Infection Control certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative bedside assistance during robotic procedures.
• Round with surgical teams to evaluate and manage patients.
• Write progress notes and place orders.
• Perform bedside procedures as needed.
• Deliver coordinated, high-quality care across the patient journey.
