Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) and NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health are seeking a Physician Assistant - Surgery to join the outpatient and surgical teams.

You will provide clinical care, assist in the Operating Room with robotic surgery, inform supervising physicians of test results, counsel patients, and help develop management plans with the attending physician. This position requires NYS PA licensure and NCCPA certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in outpatient setting including patient examination, recommendations for and/or interpretation of appropriate routine diagnostic tests.
• Inform the supervising physician of all changes in the patient's condition and pertinent diagnostic results.
• Surgical assist in the Operating Room with a surgical robot - Perform inpatient rounds, collect data and write pertinent progress notes on charts.
• Counsel patients regarding physical and mental health.
• Develop patient management plans in accordance with established protocols in conjunction with the attending physician.

Education

Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program

Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant

Current NCCPA certification
