Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for day and night shifts on DOT and heavy civil projects around Raleigh, NC. You will lead field crews, coordinate crews, subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedules on highway and utility work.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy civil roadway or underground supervision, DOT project experience, and readiness to relocate to the Raleigh area if needed. NCDOT familiarity and OSHA awareness are pluses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway or underground utility supervision experience.
• DOT roadway or utility project experience; night work is a plus.
• Ability to read plans and specs and keep accurate quantities.
• Strong understanding of work zone traffic control.
• Valid driver's license.
• NCDOT project experience is a plus.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.
• HCSS HeavyJob or similar field tracking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremen
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries
• Plan the work and hold the project schedule shift to shift
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures inside approved work windows
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers
• Track installed quantities and daily production
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and the other shift
