Helix Traffic Solutions, LLC is seeking a Traffic Control Apprentice to help maintain safe traffic flow around construction zones and temporary disruptions. You will be frontline for safety, signage, and coordination with teams to ensure compliance and efficiency.

The role requires the ability to stand long hours, pass a drug screen, and work outdoors in varied weather. Company offers training, benefits, and pathways for advancement within a national network.

Qualifications

• Team player with safety-focused mindset.
• Understanding and applying safe traffic control practices.
• Able to receive and communicate instructions clearly and courteously.
• Strong attention to detail and professional demeanor.
• Able to stand for 8+ hours and work in all weather conditions.
• Must be 20 years of age or older and pass a drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Traffic control/Flagger certification provided by the company.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic around work zones using signs, paddles, or flags.
• Set up and dismantle temporary traffic control zones including signs and barriers.
• Communicate with drivers to ensure safe traffic flow.
• Monitor construction activity to identify safety hazards and respond accordingly.
• Coordinate with supervisors using radios or hand signals.
• Follow all PPE and safety protocols and assist with equipment as needed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
