Job summary

Consor in Austin, TX is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to apply civil engineering principles to roadway and multimodal design under senior guidance. You will design, analyze, and review plans, and advance your professional judgment on transportation projects.

You’ll need a BS in Civil or Structural Engineering, 5–10+ years of TxDOT project experience, a PE license, and proficiency in Microstation ORD, AutoCAD, and Civil3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5–10+ years of transportation engineering experience with TxDOT projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in Microstation ORD, AutoCAD, Civil3D.
• Willingness for hybrid office/field work.
• Proposal writing/marketing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review design plans, calculations, and reports for roadway and multimodal projects.
• Apply standards and codes to ensure design accuracy.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and reviewing agencies.
• Perform design analyses, cost estimates, and quantity takeoffs.
• Assist in QA reviews and respond to design comments.
