Job summary

Grantsville City Corporation seeks a Roads Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and improve city streets, drainage, and related infrastructure under the Roads Supervisor.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires outdoor work in changing weather, safe operation of heavy equipment, and teamwork on snow, repair, and construction tasks.

A high school diploma is required; a Utah CDL must be obtained/maintained within the city timeframe, plus pre-employment background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Utah CDL must be obtained/maintained within city timeframe.
• Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment requirements.
• Experience in road maintenance or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine roadway maintenance and repairs on city streets and shoulders.
• Operates assigned heavy equipment and vehicles following safety procedures.
• Maintains drainage facilities, signage, and traffic control per plans.
• Supports snow and ice control, storm response, and other emergency activities.
