Job summary

City of Grants is hiring a Street Technician to perform skilled and semi-skilled work maintaining streets, alleys, drainage systems, and related infrastructure. Duties include pothole repairs, vegetation control, sign maintenance, snow removal, and equipment operation, with emphasis on safe outdoor work in varying weather.

A valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment checks are required. The role is full-time in the Streets Department, with potential emergency response involvement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles and tools.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work well in a team.
• Must be available for emergency response, snow and ice removal, and other needs.

Responsibilities

• Pothole and minor roadway repairs and street/alleys maintenance.
• Drainage and culvert cleaning; vegetation control.
• Sign installation and maintenance; traffic control.
• Snow and ice removal; debris cleanup; operation of vehicles and equipment.
• Assist with emergency response, special events, and projects citywide.
