Job summary

State of Ohio in Cleveland is seeking a Highway Maintenance position to serve the public and keep Ohio roads safer. You will perform maintenance tasks such as flagging, pothole patching, guardrail repair, litter collection, and mowing, plus snow and ice operations.

The role requires basic arithmetic & English literacy, a valid Commercial Driver's License, and may involve overtime per FLSA standards. Union: OCSEA. Classified position with probation period.

Qualifications

• Arithmetic ability including addition, subtraction, decimals, percentages and fractions; ability to read, write and speak standard English.
• 3 months of training or 3 months of experience operating basic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform highway maintenance tasks: flagging, pothole patching, guardrail repair, litter pickup, mowing.
• Conduct snow and ice operations.
