Job summary

Ohio Department of Transportation District 05 is seeking personnel for winter road maintenance and highway upkeep. The role involves operating basic equipment, performing snow/ice control, and assisting with routine highway maintenance in District 05.

You will participate in emergency response, traffic control, and coordination with crews while maintaining logs and reporting daily activities. This position is part-time with outdoor duties in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License at the appropriate level
• 3 months training or experience in operation of basic equipment
• Ability to read, write and speak common English vocabulary

Responsibilities

• Operate basic equipment for highway maintenance and snow/ice control
• Perform emergency response, cleanup, and traffic control
• Maintain signs, pavement markings, and drainage work
• Record daily logs and assist with loading/unloading of materials
