Job summary

State of Ohio Transportation - District 12 in Euclid, Ohio seeks a permanent full-time Highway Maintenance Worker to serve the public and keep Ohio roads safe. You will perform highway maintenance activities including flagging, pothole patching, guardrail repairs, litter pickup, mowing, and snow and ice operations, based on operational needs.

This overtime-eligible role requires meeting minimum qualifications, and the position is filled under OCSEA/AFSCME contractual guidelines with a criminal

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic, basic English vocabulary.
• Ability to read, write, and speak common English.
• Valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement (no air brake restriction).
• 3 months training or experience in operation of basic equipment.

Responsibilities

• You will serve the public and help make Ohio roads safer.
• Perform highway maintenance: flagging, pothole patching, guardrail repair, litter pickup, mowing.
• Conduct snow and ice operations as needed.
