Job summary

State of Ohio Transportation - District 04 is seeking seasonal highway maintenance workers to help keep Ohio roads safe. You will perform flagging, pothole patching, guardrail repairs, litter pickup, mowing, and snow/ice operations in counties around Akron.

These positions are temporary, not to exceed 1,000 hours, with potential night, weekend, and holiday shifts. A valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement and drug/background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Formal arithmetic ability and basic math operations.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement and no airbrake restriction.
• Equivalent minimum qualifications may apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform highway maintenance tasks such as flagging, pothole patching, and guardrail repairs.
• Mow, litter pickup, and other grounds maintenance as required.
• Operate in snow and ice conditions and support roadway safety.
