Carver County seeks a Highway Maintenance Operator to perform skilled and manual labor for highways, bridges, parks, and county buildings. Most work is outdoors, with exposure to weather and occasional night and weekend shifts.

The role involves operating light and heavy equipment, performing safety inspections, and supporting traffic services such as sign installation and repair. CDL Class B is required; Class A with tanker endorsement must be obtained during probation.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class B CDL with airbrake; clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in three years.
• Must obtain Class A CDL and tanker endorsement within probationary period.

Mansioni

• Safely operates light and heavy equipment to maintain highways and bridges.
• Performs related skilled, semi-skilled, and manual labor for parks, county buildings, drainage, and other public works.
• Assists in county traffic services, including sign making, installation, and repair.
• Performs call-out assignments as required.
• Conducts vehicle safety inspections as required by Minnesota law.
• Maintains and repairs equipment and uses Cartegraph, Outlook, Word.
