Alfred Benesch & Company is seeking a Transportation Engineering Internship for Summer 2026. You will assist with highway/ roadway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation under the guidance of senior engineers.

Based in Wichita, KS with potential mentorship and exposure to projects across multiple offices. Ideal for Civil Engineering students pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degrees with interest in transportation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
• Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D (Geopak or 3D Modeling experience a plus, but not required).
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Organizational skills to handle multiple assignments efficiently.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from project sites.

• Contribute to engineering projects involving highway and roadway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation.
• Gain hands-on experience with engineering design software, construction documentation, and collaborative project delivery.
