Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company is seeking a Civil Intern (Highway/Roadway) to support design projects and traffic analyses in a summer internship. You will work with our Transportation and Highway Design professionals across the country, contributing to plan preparation and documentation while gaining hands-on experience with industry tools.

The role targets students pursuing Civil Engineering degrees, with a focus on highway/roadway transportation engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
• Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Organizational skills to handle multiple assignments efficiently.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist highway and roadway design projects and traffic analyses.
• Prepare plans and construction documentation.
• Gain hands-on experience with engineering design software.
