Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company seeks a Transportation Engineering internship to join our Highway/Roadway team for summer 2026. You will work with experienced professionals on highway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation to gain real-world experience.

Seeking students pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with interest in transportation, strong communicational and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
• Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist highway and roadway design tasks including traffic analysis and plan preparation.
• Gain hands-on experience with engineering design software.
• Contribute to collaborative project delivery and documentation.
• Support senior engineers on site and in the office projects.
