Washington County is seeking an Operator I to perform labor tasks in road construction and maintenance. The role includes operating dump trucks, loaders and graders and assisting with parts inventory and radio communications.

The incumbent will maintain tools and shop facilities, under supervision, and must pass required background checks and drug testing. The position is full-time with standard county benefits and a burn ban in effect until further notice.

Qualifications

• Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform labor tasks in construction, improvement, and maintenance of county roads.
• Operate road department equipment including dump trucks, loaders and graders.
• Procure and maintain parts inventory and assist with radio communications.
• Maintain the shop building and tools; support department operations as needed.
