Washington County Government's Road Department is seeking an Operator I to perform labor tasks in construction, improvement, and maintenance of county roads. The role includes operating dump trucks, loaders and graders under supervision, and assisting with parts inventory and radio communications.

This full-time position offers a 7am–5pm schedule, benefits eligibility after meeting requirements, and a focus on safety and shop upkeep.

Qualifications

• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Subject to pre-employment, random drug and reasonable suspicion testing.
• Pre-employment physical examination and verification of information provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate road department equipment including dump trucks, loaders and graders.
• Labor tasks in construction, improvement, and maintenance of county roads.
• Procure and maintain parts inventory.
• Assist with two-way radio communications.
• Maintain the shop building and tools.
