Job summary

HDR is seeking a Roadway Engineer/Project Manager to support planning, design and delivery of transportation infrastructure. You will collaborate with project managers and clients to develop practical solutions while meeting schedule and budget goals.

The role requires leading design development, coordinating CAD staff, and ensuring quality across urban and rural highway projects. Full-time onsite in Montana with a focus on client relations and project execution.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with highways CAD software such as Bentley ConceptStation and ORD or InfraWorks/Civil3D.
• MS Office knowledge.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience includes urban and rural interstate design, traffic management and transportation planning.
• Knowledge of concept alignments, geometrical layouts and CAD base alignment plans.
• Active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage or lead technical aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects.
• Coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout project development.
• Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contracts and design meetings.
• Review work with agencies for compliance and prepare design documents.
• Lead design development and support through construction.
• Monitor schedule, budget, and quality control across projects.
