Job summary

HDR is seeking a Roadway Engineer/Project Manager in Bozeman, MT to support planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects. You will work with project managers, technical staff, and clients to develop practical solutions while aligning with schedule, budget, and quality goals.

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, a PE license, and hands-on experience with highways CAD tools such as Civil 3D and OpenRoads. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the state.
• Experience with urban and rural highway design and interchanges.
• Hands-on CAD experience with highways design tools (OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D).
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage or lead technical aspects of roadway projects.
• Coordinate work with staff and clients to meet schedule and budget.
• Establish client relations and participate in design and production meetings.
• Oversee CAD designers and junior engineers on project development.
• Prepare detailed roadway and highway designs and documentation.
• Support project reviews and quality control.
