Job summary

HDR is seeking a Roadway Engineer/Project Manager to support planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects in Montana. You will collaborate with project managers, technical staff, and clients to create practical transportation solutions while ensuring quality, schedule, and budget goals.

The role emphasizes leading design efforts, coordinating CAD staff, and delivering projects from concept to construction across HDR's Montana offices, including Bozeman, Billings,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and PE license or ability to obtain PE; Montana licensure preferred.
• Hands-on experience with highways CAD software (Bentley/Autodesk) and civil design.
• Experience in transportation design and project development across urban/rural highway projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage or lead technical aspects of small to medium single-discipline projects or large, routine projects.
• Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project's development.
• Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Coordinate workload through entire project development to ensure on-schedule completion.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and highway projects.
• Oversee CAD Designers and other EITs; provide technical design lead on highway projects.
• Support design through construction and conduct quality control reviews.
