Job summary

HDR is seeking a Roadway Engineer/Project Manager to lead planning, design and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects in Montana. The role involves coordinating with project managers, staff and clients to develop practical transportation solutions while meeting quality, schedule and budget goals.

The successful candidate will oversee CAD staff, contribute to contract documents and support design development from feasibility to construct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and PE license in Montana or reciprocity.
• 7+ years of transportation design and project development experience.
• Proficiency with CAD tools for highways and roads (Bentley/Civil3D).

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage or lead technical aspects of highway/roadway projects.
• Coordinate work of staff and balance team across project.
• Establish client relations and participate in meetings.
• Lead design development and contract document preparation.
• Track project schedule and budget with management.
• Oversee CAD designers and EITs.
• Prepare detailed roadway designs.
• Support project reviews and construction phase.
• Ensure quality control and process improvements.
• Collaborate with PMs, staff and clients.
