Benesch in Wisconsin is seeking a Transportation and Highway Design Intern for Summer 2026. Based in Milwaukee, Madison, or Neenah, you will work with our experienced team on highway and roadway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation.

You will gain hands-on experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D, supported by mentors, and develop professional skills through collaborative project delivery, design software use, and construction documentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Organizational skills to handle multiple assignments efficiently
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from project sites

Responsibilities

• Assist highway/roadway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation
