Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company is seeking a Transportation and Highway Design intern for the summer of 2026. You will support design tasks, traffic analysis, and plan preparation under the guidance of senior engineers.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with engineering design software, construction documentation, and collaborative project delivery while working in a mentor-driven environment across Milwaukee, Neenah, or Madison offices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
• Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Organizational skills to handle multiple assignments efficiently.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from project sites.
