Job summary

Benesch is seeking Transportation and Highway Design interns for the summer of 2026. You will contribute to projects involving highway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation while collaborating with our experienced team.

Based in Milwaukee, WI or Madison, WI, the internship offers mentorship from senior engineers, exposure to project sites, and hands-on experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
• Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Organizational skills to handle multiple assignments efficiently.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from project sites.
