Job summary

Consor in Houston, TX is seeking an Engineering Designer to lead portions of transportation design projects, providing advanced technical support in roadway and intersection design while mentoring junior designers.

Requires B.S. in civil engineering, 2+ years Texas transportation design experience, EIT, and experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer. Hybrid/remote options may apply for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.
• 2+ years of Texas transportation engineering design experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
• Perform advanced design calculations and ensure compliance with standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate design activities among multidisciplinary teams and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
• Assist project engineers and managers with quality control reviews, schedule tracking, and design deliverables.
