Job summary

Consor, a leading transportation engineering firm, seeks a Senior Roadway Engineering Project Manager in Houston, TX to lead delivery of complex roadway improvement projects from concept to construction. You will oversee PS&E preparation, manage scopes, budgets, and schedules, and mentor staff while driving business development with DOT and municipal clients.

This role requires PE license, a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, 15+ years in transportation engineering and 5+ years in project

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 15+ years of transportation engineering experience and 5+ years in project management.
• Experience managing scopes, schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong client relationships and ability to win new work.
• Experience with TxDOT/AASHTO standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project scopes, schedules, and fee estimates.
• Provide oversight and technical direction for roadway design across all delivery phases.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, and subconsultants.
• Serve as primary client contact, maintaining ongoing communication.
• Drive business development through proposals and interviews.
• Oversee client accounts and identify opportunities for new work.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and risk for project performance.
• Ensure compliance with design standards and QA/QC protocols.
• Mentor junior staff and develop the transportation team.
• Collaborate with leadership to expand market presence.
