The Texas Department of Transportation Fort Worth District seeks a Transportation Engineer III (Engineer IV title) to coordinate schematic roadway projects, review consultant deliverables, and monitor scope, schedule and budget to ensure high-quality design outcomes.

A Bachelor's degree in engineering, at least six years of related experience, and a Professional Engineer license (and Safety Impact Certificate) are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science (TX PELS acceptable).
• Minimum of 6 years engineering/transportation engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer license and Safety Impact Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced/complex design, planning, and project development tasks.
• Coordinates and monitors projects, reviews consultant deliverables, and manages scope and budget.
• Drives on-site reviews, negotiates contracts, and ensures compliance with laws and standards.
