Job summary

HNTB in Houston, TX is seeking a driven engineer to contribute to design calculations, technical reports, and specifications for major infrastructure projects. You will work with the project manager to research, develop, and deliver designs using up-to-date tools and software.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure high-quality project deliverables. A strong background in engineering design and project coordination is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience
• PhD in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience
• Experience developing design calculations, reports, plans and specifications

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided
• Assist in development of project specifications
• Develop discipline-specific engineering deliverables and plans
• Coordinate and increase productivity of project team members
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
• Collaborate with multiple disciplines on multi-discipline projects
• Perform quality control reviews of engineering deliverables
• Assist with scheduling and distribution of work within discipline
• Perform other duties as assigned
