Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to support the SR400 Express Lanes project in Georgia. You will design roadway geometry, alignment, drainage, and prepare plans, specs, and estimates in collaboration with project managers and construction teams.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and at least 3 years of roadway design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation, and knowledge of AASHTO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in roadway design for large infrastructure.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.
• Familiar with AASHTO standards and US codes.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Execute the design of roadway geometry, alignment, cross-sections, and drainage systems.
• Develop and review plans, specs, and estimates for roadway design.
• Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, environmental specialists, and other engineers.
• Perform engineering analyses related to traffic flow and road safety.
• Coordinate with agencies, stakeholders, and utility companies to address design constraints.
• Review and manage the preparation of construction documents and reports.
• Ensure designs meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Provide mentoring to junior engineers and stay current with design standards.
