Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for the SR400 Express Lanes Project in Georgia. You will support field operations, coordinate with foremen, field engineers, and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with GDOT standards and project schedules.

With a peak workforce over 500, you will help manage bridges, earthwork, temporary traffic control, utilities and drainage while upholding safety, quality, and timely reporting. A Bachelor’s in CM/CE is preferred, plus 5+ years in heavy civil.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of heavy civil construction experience.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant superintendent role.
• Experience with highway or bridge projects preferred.
• GDOT or other southeastern DOT experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of GDOT specifications, safety standards, and traffic control requirements.
• Familiarity with project management software and documentation tools (e.g., Procore, HCSS).

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating work across corridor segments and supervise foremen and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Project Controls to maintain Primavera P6 baseline schedule.
• Monitor construction activities: bridges, earthwork, traffic control, utilities, drainage.
• Support daily reporting of progress, manpower, equipment utilization.
• Ensure compliance with GDOT standards, safety, and environmental plans.
• Review subcontractor work plans and material needs.
