Job summary

W-L Construction and Paving, a CRH company, offers a Construction Management Intern opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple lines of business involved in heavy/highway construction. You will explore project management for public and private jobs, bidding processes, and coordination with estimators, project managers, and crews.

The internship includes asphalt plant operations, equipment handling, and exposure to business management concepts such as job cost and monthly projections

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management or Operations Management.
• Two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project management for public and private jobs; learn bidding, contracting, and coordination with estimators and project managers.
• Support asphalt plant operations and plant maintenance tasks.
• Assist construction crews and foremen in job setup and preparation for field work.
• Develop basic understanding of job cost, P&L, and workload review with Operations Manager/accounting.
