Job summary

W-L Construction and Paving, a CRH company, is offering a Construction Management Intern opportunity in Virginia. The program covers multiple facets of construction management, including project management, bidding, and coordination with estimators, foremen, and plant operators.

Candidates will gain exposure to asphalt plants, aggregates, and business operations. The role requires pursuing a relevant degree or related experience, with travel and potential night/weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Construction Management or Operations Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project management on public and private jobs.
• Learn how to bid, build, and manage heavy construction projects.
• Work with estimators, project managers, and plant/operators to support operations.
• Understand job cost, monthly projections, and basic P&L concepts.
• Support aggregate manufacturing, logistics, and customer relations activities.
