Qualifications

• One year of experience in highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work
• One year of experience in quality control of materials or building or construction industry experience, which includes reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, or schematics
• An equivalent combination of experience and training

Responsibilities

• Construction inspection: Observe construction operations, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with contract requirements
• Documentation review: Check completed work units and material records for accuracy and adherence to policies
• Field measurements: Verify grades, elevations, and basic structure or roadway stakeout activities
• Traffic control check: Inspect work zone signs and devices to confirm proper placement and maintenance
• Material testing: Assist with sampling, testing, and interpretation of results to support quality control
• Record maintenance: Prepare and organize project documentation, reports, charts, and inspection logs
