Qualifications

• One year as a Transportation Construction Inspector or two years of construction inspection with an associate's degree in engineering tech or closely related field
• Equivalent combination of experience and training
• Valid PA Class C Driver's License required

Responsibilities

• Project Oversight: Inspect construction work for compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements
• Team Leadership: Supervise inspection staff and guide sampling, testing, and field techniques
• Technical Reviews: Verify grades, review structure stakeouts, and monitor material placement
• Problem Solving: Interpret design plans and assist with resolving field issues and discrepancies
• Documentation Work: Compile reports, prepare work orders, and track certification of project materials
• Communication Duties: Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and internal staff regarding project updates and needs
