Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work.
• One year of experience in quality control of materials or building/construction industry experience.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist inspectors by reviewing work documentation, material usage, and project records.
• Verify costs, quantities, and calculations by auditing project documentation and work orders.
• Inspect road and bridge construction operations for compliance with plans and specs.
• Check placement and maintenance of work zone signs and devices per plans.
• Test materials and collect required certifications and delivery forms.
• Review earthwork, quantity records, and calculations to ensure payments meet requirements.
