Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector to support senior staff in field oversight of roadway and bridge projects in the Atlanta area. You will review plans and specs, monitor quality, and document findings while ensuring safety on site.

The role requires civil engineering credentials with GDOT certifications or equivalent, strong reading of construction documents, and comfort with field audits and reporting. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering or civil engineering technology.
• Associate degree + 5+ years roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• HS diploma + 7 years roadway/bridge inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Inspectors with construction oversight and inspections.
• Review construction plans, specs, and shop drawings.
• Monitor activities for quality and spec compliance.
• Conduct field audits of ICQA and related processes.
• Inspect roadways, structures, and drainage per project requirements.
• Observe materials sampling/testing (soils, aggregate, asphalt, concrete).
• Attend pre-activity meetings with contractors and quality teams.
• Document inspection findings and prepare electronic reports.
• Uphold safety practices in all construction activities.
