Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector in Atlanta, GA to support Senior Inspectors with field oversight. You will review plans and shop drawings, monitor activities for quality, and conduct field audits of ICQA processes.

The role requires site inspections of roadways, structures, and drainage, plus documenting findings and ensuring safety compliance. Qualified candidates bring a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, plus progressive inspection

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with 2+ years in roadway/bridge inspection
• Associate degree with 5+ years in roadway/bridge inspection
• High school diploma with 7+ years in roadway/bridge inspection and related experience
• Able to obtain GDOT certifications within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Inspectors with construction oversight and inspection duties.
• Review and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Monitor activities for quality compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct field audits of ICQA processes.
• Inspect roadways, structures, and drainage for conformance to requirements.
• Observe materials sampling and testing (soils, aggregate, asphalt, concrete).
• Attend pre-activity meetings with contractors and quality teams.
• Document inspection findings and prepare electronic reports.
• Uphold and promote safety practices on site.
