Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Construction Inspector to support oversight of roadway and bridge projects in Atlanta and Knoxville. You will review plans, monitor field activities, and ensure conformance to project requirements with emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires inspection certifications or progression toward GDOT qualifications, strong documentation, and ability to work across field conditions, nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with two years of roadway and bridge inspection experience, or an equivalent combination of training and related experience.
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering with five years of roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• High school diploma with seven years of roadway/bridge inspection experience and related construction oversight.
• Must obtain GDOT and related certifications within 6 months as required.
• Proficiency in reading construction documents and using reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Inspectors with construction oversight and inspection duties.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct field audits of ICQA processes and inspect roadways, structures, and drainage systems.
• Verify materials sampling and testing processes and document findings.
• Attend pre-activity meetings and promote safety practices on site.
