Qualifications

• High School GED is required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting preferred.
• Active and valid driver’s license issued by one state or jurisdiction.
• Must obtain and maintain a DOT pre-hire card.
• Satisfactory motor vehicle record check during pre-hire and periodically during employment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to member requests for service and provide roadside battery service.
• Assess safety and locate member vehicle in a safe area before service.
• Explain battery program and testing, recommend appropriate battery type.
• Perform battery testing and on-the-spot battery replacement when needed.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, inventories, and safety procedures.
