Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Battery Service Technician in New York to support roadside battery services for members. You will test, install, and replace batteries, provide diagnostic assistance, and promote AAA products and services while ensuring safe, high-quality service.

Responsibilities include safely locating and approaching vehicles, maintaining vehicle readiness, and resolving battery issues efficiently. Prior experience in automotive repair and strong customer service are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School GED required.
• At least 21 years of age required.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting preferred.
• Active and valid driver's license issued by one state or jurisdiction required.
• Must obtain and maintain a DOT medical card pre-hire and during employment.
• Satisfactory motor vehicle record check required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to member requests for service and provides safe, world-class roadside assistance.
• Diagnoses battery-related issues and performs testing, installation and minor mechanical tasks.
• Shows members how the battery program works and recommends appropriate products.
• Maintains service vehicle and equipment in good condition and completes necessary safety checks.
• Documents activities, reads dispatch information, and coordinates with members for safe service.
