Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Battery Service Technician in New Jersey to deliver safe, on-the-go roadside battery service and diagnostic support to members. You will respond to service requests, test and replace batteries, and promote AAA products while ensuring member safety and satisfaction.

The role requires a GED, 21+ years of age, a valid driver's license, and automotive training. Compensation includes hourly pay with shift differentials plus bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School GED required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to obtain DOT card pre-hire.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to member requests for roadside service within ETA.
• Locate and assess scene safety on arrival; ensure safe vehicle positioning.
• Provide battery service, diagnostics, testing, and jump starts as needed.
• Educate members on battery program benefits and recommended battery type.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment; complete documentation of services.
• Maintain high service standards and assist with minor mechanical tasks when trained.
